Concealed Fixings

Step 1
Oak beams are heavy, please be sure you have good solid fixings in place. If in doubt, seek professional advice.
Draw a line on the wall with a spirit level to mark out the placement of the drill holes.
Step 2
Measure the distance between the holes and mark this out on your level line.
Step 3
Drill the holes with a 10mm masonary drill and insert the wall plugs. Fit the washer and screw in the fixing bracket.
Step 4
Apply adhesive to the brackets to help secure the beam.
Slide the beam onto the support bars. Before pushing back to the wall, check the level and if adjustment is needed, the bars can be turned with a spanner to slightly lower or raise

Wall Plate Fixing

Step 1
Draw a line on the wall with a spirit level to mark out the placement of the drill holes.
Step 2
Mark the drill holes from the plate onto the wall.
Step 3
Drill all the holes with a 10mm masonary drill and insert the wall plugs. Fix the wall plate to the wall with the supplied plugs and screws.
Step 4
Apply a small amount of adhesive to help secure the beam. Slide the beam onto the support bars.
Advisable to leave the beam to adjust to room temperature for a couple of weeks and once installed, start with low temp fires.
